AllMumsTalk Limited t/a InkHub Company number: 08233578 Registered office: 5 Golden Mede, Waddesdon, England, HP18 0NG ICO reference: ZA728215 UK VAT number: GB156267103 hello@inkhub.dev 5 Golden Mede, Waddesdon HP18 0NG Sales regions: Worldwide Terms version: 2026-09-24.4 The installation service InkHub software is free and open source, available independently under its applicable licences. inkhub.dev sells the convenience of a hosted installation service for a supported e-reader, not the software or a software licence. You use our guided tools and release downloads to carry out the installation on your own device. Your one-off payment supports ongoing development and includes future InkHub software updates over Wi-Fi (OTA) for that device, with no separate update installation charge. It is payment for the installation service, not a donation, subscription, insurance, hardware warranty or paid technical-support package. The independent hosted installation infrastructure is proprietary. Hobbyist use and independent development InkHub is independent hobbyist software intended for personal, non-critical use. It is not a vendor-supported replacement for your device software and is not affiliated with Kobo or reMarkable. It aims to keep existing hardware useful; inclusion in our supported models does not mean the original vendor has stopped selling or supporting that model. Do not rely on InkHub for emergency, medical, safety-critical or business-critical functions. Open-source software and voluntary warranties The independently available open-source software is provided “as is”, “as available” and “with all defects”, under its applicable licences. We give no additional voluntary software warranties, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, suitable for a particular purpose or compatible with every device configuration. Personal use describes the intended hosted-service audience; it does not prohibit uses, modification or redistribution permitted by the software licences. The paid installation service is separate from these software warranty terms. The section “Mandatory rights and service standards” below applies throughout these terms. Availability and compatibility The installation service is offered worldwide for the supported models listed on this website. Before ordering, check your exact model, supported firmware, computer and browser on the installation page. A supported model name alone does not establish firmware compatibility. Back up your documents and read the recovery instructions. Your preparation Check the exact model and supported firmware, use suitable equipment and reliable power, and make a separate, checked backup of anything you want to keep. You need the skills to follow the model-specific installation and recovery instructions. Stop if a check fails or you are unsure. Do not disconnect power or USB during an operation. Before ordering, make sure you have authority to modify the device. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure. Device failure, data loss and recovery costs Device changes can leave your e-reader unable to start or unusable (sometimes called bricking), permanently lose books, notebooks, settings or other data, and require technical recovery, repair or replacement. Recovery can take time and cost money, and may not succeed. A temporary trial is not risk-free; an automatic backup or rollback is a safeguard, not a guarantee of recovery. A backup on the same device cannot protect against storage failure. Recovery may involve opening the device or specialist assistance; do not attempt a procedure beyond your skills. Your informed choice This is a personal, DIY choice. You are responsible for preparing your device and following the instructions. Proceed only if you are willing to undertake the recovery work that may be needed. The installation fee buys convenience, not insurance, a hardware warranty or paid technical support. You can leave without starting. The website asks for an explicit choice before trying or installing, separately from checkout. What is not promised No support response time, uptime percentage, uninterrupted availability, new feature or development schedule is guaranteed. We do not promise compatibility with future vendor firmware, every third-party file or service, or a particular improvement in battery life or performance. Buying installation convenience does not purchase a managed device, ongoing technical support or a guarantee that recovery will succeed. Responsibility for loss We are not responsible for losses that we did not cause through a breach of contract or other legal duty. This includes loss caused solely by ignoring clear instructions, unsuitable equipment you choose, changes outside the documented installation process or an unrelated pre-existing fault, where our software or service did not contribute. We exclude losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made: a loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence or both you and we knew it might occur. For business use of this personal, hobbyist service, we exclude lost business profits, revenue, opportunities and business interruption. These limits are subject to the mandatory rights and service standards below. Mandatory rights and service standards We will provide the paid installation service with reasonable care and skill and meet the description and commitments agreed at purchase. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted. Mandatory consumer rights concerning faulty or misdescribed digital content, service remedies, cancellation, and legally required repair or compensation for damage to your device or other digital content remain. There is no installation-fee cap on mandatory consumer remedies. Risk acknowledgements and backup responsibilities do not waive these rights or make you pay our liabilities. Mandatory rights in your country and access to the courts available to you are preserved. Prices and free launch places Prices are in GBP and include applicable VAT or sales tax: £6.99 through 31 October 2026, 23:59 UK time, then £9.99. The first 100 confirmed launch entitlements are free across all supported models, limited to one free entitlement per verified customer account. A reservation lasts 30 minutes; it is not a completed claim. A free claim needs no card and is never automatically converted into a paid order. The final amount is shown before payment. Ordering and delivery Checkout is in English. Choose your model, verify your email, review your offer and acknowledgements, then confirm a free claim or continue to Stripe to pay. You can change your choice before confirming. After your claim or payment is verified, download your order confirmation and confirm that you have saved it before starting hosted installation. The confirmation includes the agreed terms. Installation is a separate action you choose on your device. No physical delivery is involved. Cancellation of the installation service Where UK service cancellation rules apply, you can cancel within 14 days after the contract is made by emailing or writing to us. To start earlier, you must expressly request early performance. Starting work does not itself end the cancellation right. It ends after full performance only where the required prior request and acknowledgement have been given. Payment, an entitlement or a confirmation download is not full performance, and does not discharge included update obligations. If you cancel after expressly requesting early work, a proportionate amount for service actually provided may be payable where the law allows, not an automatic forfeiture of the whole fee. Independently available open-source software is not sold by this checkout; no blanket digital-download cancellation waiver is taken. Contact us to cancel, complain or report a problem. Cancellation form You may send this form, but a clear cancellation request is sufficient. Cookie policy Necessary sign-in cookies InkHub uses Neon authentication cookies to keep the account you request signed in and protect access to your orders. The primary cookie is __Secure-neon-auth.session_token. Its lifetime is the expiry set by Neon for your session, which may be renewed when the session is refreshed; signing out ends the session. The storefront does not set a fixed replacement lifetime for that provider-issued token. Short-lived session cache __Secure-neon-auth.local.session_data is a signed, necessary cache of account-session information. InkHub configures it for one second. The cache cookie may be refreshed while using account pages. The authentication cookies are Secure and HttpOnly, so ordinary page scripts cannot read them. Payments and downloads Payment takes place on Stripe’s hosted page, not an embedded card form on InkHub. Stripe controls cookies used on that page for payment, fraud prevention and any choices it offers; its cookie policy describes their purposes and durations. Download requests also reach Cloudflare. This storefront does not set marketing or analytics cookies and does not use local storage for advertising. Remembering this notice When you dismiss the cookie notice, we store inkhub.cookie-notice.v1 in this browser’s local storage. It contains only the notice version and dismissal time, is not sent to our server, and is used to remember your choice for 180 days. After that we show the notice again; the old entry remains until replaced or removed through your browser’s site-data controls. The footer’s Cookie preferences button reopens the notice at any time. If browser storage is blocked, dismissal lasts only until the page is reloaded. This choice does not enable tracking or disable necessary sign-in cookies. Your choices You can browse public pages without signing in. Blocking or deleting necessary authentication cookies prevents account, checkout and confirmation access. Sign out on a shared computer, or remove this site’s cookies using your browser controls. We do not ask you to accept advertising cookies to use the installation service.
